Call for papers

The European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) will run the Fifth international conference GeoBaikal 2018, which shall be held in Irkutsk (Russia) from 11 to 17 August 2018.
The forthcoming conference is geared towards a wide range of geoscience professionals whose activities are associated with Eastern Siberia, the Far East and the Asia-Pacific region. The conference will be accompanied by two significant geological field trips around Lake Baikal.

AgafonovDear colleagues,
I am greeting the contributors of the Fifth international conference GeoBaikal 2018 in Irkutsk (Russia), on behalf of the Organizing Committee and personally.
This event is sure to offer an exceptional opportunity for many geologists and geophysicists to meet and share opinions, ideas, innovations, and developments. Everyone brought together, we are a powerful motive force for crucial ideas and accomplishments.
GeoBaikal gives the floor to reputed leaders of the geoscience community as well as to recent graduates who are just starting their carrier. The conference is scheduled to let each participant share his/her results, listen to other talks and lectures of prominent scientists, and to take part in exciting trips to Lake Baikal.
It has become a good tradition to hold conferences in East Siberia, thanks to all of you who are keeping this way and always find time in your stirring life to attend it. Geological and geophysical surveys in East Siberia are particular and challenging. Thus, sharing experience is the principal key to success!
We are looking forward to see you all in Irkutsk and at Lake Baikal. Wishing the conference participants much success, interesting meetings, and fruitful work,

Yu.A. Agafonov
Chairman of GeoBaikal 2018 Organizing Committee
General Director, IERP
