Women in Geoscience and Engineering Special Session

Tuesday 12 June 2018, 16:00 - 18:00 hrs, Treehouse Room, Bella Centre

This session is dedicated to women who are or aim to be professionals in Geoscience and Engineering fields, and to all delegates interested in a talk tackling gender-related issues for the industry and academia. The programme features inspiring speakers representing different experiences of career and personal life management, followed by a panel discussion. Participants will have time for informal networking at the end of the session.

The Women in Geoscience and Engineering Community at EAGE

With a following of over 1800, the Special Interest Communities are actively involved in empowering members in knowledge and experience exchange, as well as offering mutual support in various areas. Their Special Sessions will be an exciting opportunity for connecting with actively involved groups that relevant to your career development goals and for networking with professionals travelling to Copenhagen from all over the world!

The WGE community in particular was established with the aim of facilitating communication among women and promoting their active participation in Geoscience and Engineering activities. WGE members cooperate to address common gender-related and work/life balance problems, to share career opportunities and provide guidance for career development.
