Laurie Dake Challenge 2018

(formerly known as EAGE FIELD Challenge)

Time: 8:30 - 17:00

Room P - Hall B

Challenge finalists will present their findings to an expert jury,
after months of working on a dataset (provided by Maersk
Oil) of a discovered hydrocarbon resource. Universities and
industries are invited to attend the presentations and witness
the competition between what we can describe as the best
multi-disciplinary student teams in the world!

Enter the Challenge

The Laurie Dake Challenge promotes cross-disciplinary
geoscience and engineering integration within universities. In
teams, students will be required to analyze and propose a field
development plan for a discovered hydrocarbon resource. To
qualify for the Laurie Dake Challenge, students are expected to
unleash their creativity and technical excellence to 1) interpret an
exploration data set, 2) generate the most attractive prospect(s),
and 3) win the licensing round. Deadline to submit and enter the
competition is 8 January 2018, 23:59 hrs (GMT +1).

The Trophy

The winning team of the Laurie Dake Challenge will receive
a trophy during the Opening Session in Copenhagen in
the presence of leaders in our geoscience and engineering
community.
