Integrating Concepts for Source Rock Deposition
Time: 10:00 – 12:00 hrs
Location: Room A5
Instructor: A.Y. Huc (UPMC)
Accumulation of organic matter in sediments is controlled by factors including biological and sedimentary processes e.g., primary productivity, microbial alteration of the organic matter during its transfer from the site of biomass production to the sediment or transport by sedimentological processes to its final resting place where it will be buried. Improved knowledge and quantification of the involved processes in specific geological contexts allow integrating the concepts into developed numerical stratigraphic models.
Time: 14:00 – 16:00 hrs
Location: Student Court, booth #480
