23rd European Meeting of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics
Field trip (7 September 2017)
1) Application of high-resolution geophysical methods for mapping bedrock structures and variation in rock quality within the Tornqvist zone.
This field trip will focus on the consequences of the Tornquist zone on engineering geology and hydrology / hydrogeology. It will include visits to points that provide a good overview of the geology on a large scale (horst and graben structures) as well as site visits places with good exposure of the geological material and structures, with fracturing and weathering patterns well exposed. Presentations of results from geophysical investigations of the formations in question in different scales will be included.
The following persons are involved in organizing the field trip:
Peter Jonsson (Lund University, Sweden)
Per-Ivar Olsson (Lund University, Sweden)
Sara Johansson (Lund University, Sweden)
Leif Johansson (Lund University, Sweden)
