EAGE-SEG Italian Section Launches a New Website, Begins a New Stage
The Italian EAGE-SEG Section is the meeting point for Italian applied geophysicists, including EAGE and/or SEG members, and those who want to get the latest updates about Italian geophysical activities. Membership is free, and can be requested online by simply filling the web-form at this link.
The Italian Section goals are promoting geophysical science and supporting the training and professional update of its members. Particular attention is devoted to Applied Geophysics for environment protection, mining, civil engineering, cultural heritage and archaeology, search for energy sources, reservoir study and modelling, hydrology.
The Section has very recently launched its brand new website where all the members can post new contents, share news updates on webinars, congresses and other academic seminars on a dedicated page. If you are based in Italy, or if your studies or job bring you here, we invite you to connect with the Italian Section and keep an eye on updates on opportunities to get involved!
The Italian Section is a non-profit association active since 2001 and officially recognized by EAGE and SEG as joint reference point. Its activity is carried out through technical meetings and workshops, basic or specialized courses, search for technical and scientific personnel, online information, and the exchange of ideas in various forms. The Board of the Italian Section is currently comprised of Giovanni Florio (President), Nicola Pajola (Vice-President), Umberta Tinivella, Andrea Tognarelli, Vincenzo Milluzzo and Claudio D’Agosto.
