Special Interest Communities
Special Interest Communities operate within EAGE with the mission of empowering members in knowledge and experience exchange, as well as offering mutual support in various areas.
This aligns with the objectives of the EAGE, which are:
- to promote global development and application of geosciences and related engineering subjects;
- to promote innovation and technical progress;
- to foster communication, fellowship and cooperation between those working in, studying or otherwise being interested in these fields.
EAGE offers 6 different Special Interest Communities:
The Decarbonization & Energy Transition (DET) community facilitates the creating of connections and sharing knowledge among those working or interested in energy transition geoscience.
The Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) community facilitates creating connections and sharing knowledge among those working or interested in the digital transformation for geoscience and engineering fields.
The Mineral Exploration Geophysics (MEG) community is affiliated to the NSG parallel conference series 'Geophysics for Mineral Exploration & Mining' and brings together those with an interest in the topic.
Our community on Hydrogeophysics is our dedicated platform for researchers and professionals working in the discipline. It is affiliated to the parallel near surface geoscience conference series.
The Basin & Petroleum Systems Analysis community facilitates the creating of connections and sharing knowledge among those working or interested in related applications and their interdisciplinary connections.
The Women in Geoscience & Engineering community facilitates cooperation among women and promotes their active participation in the community activities
The Young Professionals (YP) community supports professionals below the age of 35 to establish their presence in the industry, share experience and create networks
